Used DVDs Need Love Too!

I don’t know about you, but I’m not a millionaire. Heck there have been times when I am not even a hundredaire (if that’s even a word). The problem is, I want to buy DVD’s. I really do. But sometimes the mortgage payment gets in the way. This is where SecondSpin comes in.

I actually first discovered SecondSpin when I was hunting for music a few years ago. I bought a few CDs from them and they came quickly and were in excellent condition. They were also very reasonably priced. The trick is, SecondSpin purchases used CDs, DVDs and video games from their users. They then archive them on their site and list them for sale, passing the savings onto the consumer.

As far as DVDs go, SecondSpin has a few rules in place which assure that the items will be in good condition:

  1. The DVD must have the original case, complete with any inserts.
  2. The DVD and case must be in good physical condition.
  3. The DVD must not be the actual retail movie and not a promotional copy.
  4. Most importantly it must work.

If any of these items are not passable, they will simply offer to return the disc to the seller or destroy it for them. This means that what you are purchasing will be quality. I personally have never been burned. The site is also a great place to sell those items that you simply aren’t going to use anymore. They disburse payment via either PayPal, personal check or store credit.

Definitely give SecondSpin a look when you are in the market for some new entertainment. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
