The animation wing of Sony Pictures is going to be entering the direct to DVD market with Open Season 2. What is interesting about this deal is that it comes on the heels of Disney’s abandoning this distribution method which they themselves created.
Yesterday I reported that Star Trek is coming to HD-DVD in November. Well, Toshiba held an event at CEDIA this week to announce this. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. I am sure the audience ate it up though.

Ok, my nerd meter is literally going crazy right now. Toshiba and CBS have reached a deal that would bring the original television series into your living rooms, and into high definition.
